What is Counselling?

 

Counselling is a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the challenges you may have experienced or are currently experiencing. I have learned that human beings like to understand why we are the way we are and why we make our decisions. With that knowledge, we then have the power to change. I believe that we all can change and heal.

I am an Integrative Counsellor, meaning I am trained in various models such as Person-centred, Psychoanalytic and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). However, over the years, I have evolved my practice and knowledge base to include Compassionate mind, Inner child work, and I have a strong interest in Neuropsychology. This enables me to adapt my way of working to suit you. 

Due to modern-day demands, we have many different roles in life, including employee, boss, wife, husband, son, daughter, father, mother, and partner. We often adapt ourselves according to the role we are in at the time. As a result, we sometimes lose sight of who we are and what makes us the person we are.

The counselling space is for YOU. All of these roles will be deeply important to you, but none more so than you being the best version of yourself that you can be.
